Fabric barrettes adorned the hair of some models, and nails completed the Remy hair polished vibe in neutral beige. MAKEUP: Kimberly Soane for Bobbi BrownHAIR: Esther Langham for MoroccanoilNAILS: Pattie Yankee for Dashing DivaSNAPSHOT: China Doll PrettyTHE SCOOP: Elie Tahari's Fall 2011 collection flaunted sumptuously rich fabrics and furs in elegantly tailored form, with makeup and hair that reflected the delicate femininity that underscored the designs."It's an innocent, wide-eyed girl look. We're using color to create a doll-like effect," Soane told StyleList. A sheer wash of champagne-pink shimmer swept across lids, with highlighter illuminating the inner corners for a pop seen under the bright runway lights. Pale-pink blush warmed up the apples of cheeks, accentuating the burnt-red stain Soane touched to the center of the lips for a cupid's bow. Brows were lightened with powder so that the focus would spotlight the makeup colors on the center of the face.Meanwhile, hair was pulled back into the smooth covered ponytail we've seen several times this week. "I'm creating a very simple, clean ponytail. We wanted the hair up off the face so as not to interfere with all of the fur, lace and intricate collars," said Langham. A cocktail of styling creams created the slick texture, while a blow-dry with a paddle brush flattened Weaving hair the feel. Several of the models wore fabric swatches in their hair, which Langham cleverly glued to comb teeth hair clips for ornamental display.Nails were a flesh-toned beige, topped with a matte coat to give the elongating look of nude extension -- much like a nude stiletto heel.GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: All makeup by Bobbi Brown. Conceal and powder to illuminate face. Then blend Metallic Eye Shadow in Champagne Quartz as a wash from lid to brow bone, layering over highlighter on the inner corners for pop. Swirl Pale Pink Blush onto apples of cheeks and up along cheekbone, finishing with Lip Color in Slopes dabbed on the fingers and tapped only into the center of lips for a cupid's bow shape. Choose an Hair weaving eyebrow powder a couple of shades lighter than your natural color, filling in to push brows into neutral territory.GET THE LOOK - HAIR: All products by Moroccanoil. In the palm of your hand, mix a cocktail of Styling Cream with Moroccanoil before smoothing from roots to end. Then blow-dry with a paddle brush to flatten hair, and going back to style the ends with a large round brush for shape. Rake fingers through hair to pull back into a casual low-slung ponytail. Spritz with Glimmer Shine, which will launch next season. As an option, hot-glue fabric swatches onto plastic comb barrettes, and slip into hair above the side temples.Nails at Elie Tahari Fall 2011.
